Can I plug my EV into a regular electrical outlet?
We highly recommend you always refer to the charging instructions provided to you by your vehicle manufacturer. EVs may come with a charging cable suitable for a regular 110 V electrical outlet in Canada. However, this may only provide you with speeds of up to 1.3 to 2.4 kW (5–8 km/hour). With the Ivy Home Smart EV Charger, you can get speeds of up to 10 kW (45–48 km/hour) with a 220V outlet. Find out more.
