Apple Pay now available for Ivy drivers.
We’re making charging even easier! Ivy Charging Network is excited to introduce Apple Pay, a fast, secure, and convenient way to pay for your EV charging sessions.
Why you’ll love it.
With Apple Pay, there’s no need to pull out your wallet or enter card details. Just tap, charge, and go!
Studies show Apple Pay transactions are 24% faster than regular credit card payments, so you can get back on the road in no time.
How to start a charge using Apple Pay?
Before starting your charge in the Ivy app, you will be prompted to select a payment to start charging. You can simply select between Apple Pay or your saved credit card.
About pre-authorization holds.
Like most payment systems, Ivy places a temporary pre-authorization hold before each session to confirm available funds. Here’s what that looks like:
- Regular Credit Card - $1 hold when adding a card for the first time, plus a $30 pre-auth when starting a charge.
- Apple Pay - $75 pre-auth at the start of a charge. No additional holds when adding your Apple Pay account since it’s already verified.
What you’ll see on your statement.
- For both credit card and Apple Pay transactions, your statement will show “Ivy Charging Network” as the merchant.
- For Apple Pay users, transactions may also appear in your Apple Wallet under “ChargeLab”, since the session originates through Apple Maps where Ivy chargers are listed as part of ChargeLab’s network.
